Course Description:

The course is indented to equip students with tourism-related knowledge beyond the scope of the courses taught up so far. Therefore, being a fourth year module, this course is of a debate nature, where, on a weekly basis, students will discuss interesting, yet uncovered special issues in Tourism whether worldwide or applicable to Turkey!

Text Book:

There is no text book recommended, however, several articles would be provided in the Instructor’s Web Page as a guide for discussion. Moreover, students are responsible to come up each week with additional related articles in order to enrich the discussion environment!

Grading:

• In Class Attendance: 10 %
• In Class Participation: 20 %
• Midterm Exam (Project): 30 %
• Final Exam (Project): 40 %

1. Failing to attend more than 75 % of the whole course will mean automatically that the student’s either Midterm Exam and/or Final Exam won’t be graded!
2. Students are required to bring, on a weekly basis, related articles to themes taught, read them and participate in the discussion held at class!!
